2nd Round application deadline for “Lift Modernisation Subsidy Scheme” is extended to 30 Sep 2020

Considering the influence of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), which may affect building owners to convene an owners’ meeting for discussion and the resolution of application for the "Lift Modernisation Subsidy Scheme"(LIMSS). In order to provide sufficient time for the building owners to discuss and resolve the application for the LIMSS, the URA has the following special arrangement for the building owners who are going to apply for the 2nd round LIMSS:

• To extend the application deadline from 30 Jun 2020 to 30 Sep 2020. If building owners are unable to convene an Owners’ General Meeting and submit the meeting minutes for resolution of application for the LIMSS before the application deadline, to fulfill the requirements of the LIMSS (please refer to the 2nd round LIMSS application notes for details), the application can be submitted by two committee members of the Management Committee/ owner representatives (Applicant’s Representatives) with the “Information Sheet of Lift” (Page 14 of the 2nd round LIMSS application notes) on or before the extended deadline. However, the owners must convene the Owners’ General Meeting to pass all relevant resolutions¹, and submit the meeting minutes to the URA on or before 31 December 2020.
